Cornell Box January 27, 2011

220px-cornell_cassiopeia_11.jpg
This image is called Cassiopeia 1.
Joseph Cornell reflects his interests in his collages. He also illustrated poetry in his collage boxes.
His collages are meant to illustrate constructivism and surrealism.
He has many collections such as the soap bubble sets, the machine series, the pink palace series, the hotel sets and aviary series. The image above is Cassiopeia.
I like this collage the most out of all of Cornell's collages because the image makes me feel like I have my own cassiopeia in my box; therefore, I can see it anytime I want to because it is mine.
