Most of Andy Goldsworthy's art works are interesting, but this artwork is probably the most interesting of all, that is not temporary.
It looks like Goldsworthy didn't even have to do much to make it an artwork, which I like a lot about. It looks so natural and simply pretty, without too much embellishment. It is relaxing in the way of looking at nature.

Louise Nevelson February 3, 2011

Source: hayleygilchrist.wordpress.com
This image is called "Night Leaf," plexiglas sculpture by Louise Nevelson. 1969
This sculpture is word for word, night(dark) leaf.
This two-dimension sculpture is really neat and it also illustrates unity in shape.
The leaves are shaped the same and there isn't any certain patterns in the sculpture but
some leaves are opened and some leaves aren't, which forms sort of unity.

Lucas Samaras February 1, 2011

Box No. 85
Pins and stones on cardboard. 1973
Sources: http://www.areaofdesign.com/americanicons/samaras.htm

Box No. 85 is interesting because it is rich in embellishment and kind of seductive in ways, very attractive. In the box, Samaras is known to use his own pins to illustrate that most of his art work is like his own family. Samaras uses his own "stuff" for most of his art work. It looks like a children's craft or something that a child might find it simple and pretty.

Cornell Box January 27, 2011

220px-cornell_cassiopeia_11.jpg
This image is called Cassiopeia 1.
Joseph Cornell reflects his interests in his collages. He also illustrated poetry in his collage boxes.
His collages are meant to illustrate constructivism and surrealism.
He has many collections such as the soap bubble sets, the machine series, the pink palace series, the hotel sets and aviary series. The image above is Cassiopeia.
I like this collage the most out of all of Cornell's collages because the image makes me feel like I have my own cassiopeia in my box; therefore, I can see it anytime I want to because it is mine.

Form and Content January 25, 2011

cool flower art

Many artists relate form and content, which includes color, shape, pattern and duration. Artists also strive to establish the relationship between form and content to show the way that something is made to fit with what the artist intend for the work to be seen as.

In the image above, the artist put some matching cubics on the petals of the flower to make the work to be seen as sparkling or shining flower, not just a beautiful flower.
The flower looks more embellished.
